Tanzanian musician Harmonize has openned up on his rogeu exit from Diamond Platinumz WCB record label.
Speaking to the media minutes after landing from United States of America, Harmonize has said that he was being exploited at the record label with diamond taking 60% of all his shows and songs.
The ‘Konde gang’ CEO has said that he is tired of people criticizing him without knowing what happened between him and the record label.
Harmonize terminated his record label with the Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) record label over misunderstanding with the management.
According to Harmonize, Diamond's management subjected him to harsh terms and condition in order to terminate his contract in 2017.
"Wale waliniitisha Milioni mia tano ambazo kusema kweli mimi sikua nazo. Ilinibidi niuze nyumba yang kisha nikachukua loan zile ile angalau niweze kufikisha kiwango kile," he added.
However, after paying the Tsh500, Diamonds management still refused to give him the termination contract citing other expenses which included perfoming at the Dar Es Salaam Stadium. Harmonize has revealed that the WCB demanded an additional Tsh100 million for him to be allowed to leaved.
"Baadaye, nilihangaika huku na kule hadi serikali ikanipa hizo hela nikaenda nikamaliza denilangu. Hatahivyo, WCB walikataa kunipa mkataba wangu jambo ambalo lilifanya nimpigie rais John Pombe Magufuli ili aweze kuingilia kati na kunisaidia."
In 2019, the musician launched his own record label called the ‘Konde gang’ records which currently has 7 artists.
Earlier this year, Tanzanian musician Rayvanny also left the WCB record label and launched his own ‘Next level music’ record label.
