An accident happened on Tuesday morning along the Narok-Mai Mahiu involving a bus with 29 passengers and a dead body on board.

The 4 a.m. incident at the Pinyiny blackspot injured seven passengers, including a three-year-old child.

The bus driver escaped the scene of the accident after the accident; the victims were rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment.

The mourners had a coffin with a dead body on board and had traveled from Mombasa, heading to Homabay for a burial.

A police report indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle that was later overturned on the right-hand side of the road.

The incident comes months after another hearse was involved in a road accident on the Narok-Mai Mahiu road.

In the May 21 incident, eight mourners died after a mini-bus collided head-on with a lorry near Mafuta Taa center.

The eight were believed to be flower farm workers from Naivasha who were on their way back from a burial.
