The complainant, Wickson Mwathi, on Thursday told Milimani senior resident magistrate Nyamu Wandia that he had forgiven Ng’ang’a and settled the matter out of court.

According to him,he forgave Ng'ang'a because he was his mother's clergy man.  “Your honour, I forgive Pastor Ng’ang’a since my mother worships in his church and I would like to withdraw the case,” Mwathi told the court.

Mwathi has however said that he had received a token of appreciation from Ng'ang'a of Ksh700,000.

Earlier last week, the office of the ODPP had refused to withdraw the case stating that it had not received any orders nor letter from Ng'ang'a and the complaint.
