Kenya National women team Harambee Starlets has crushed neighbors South Sudan 8-0 today at the Kasarani Stadium.

Starlets were pooled alongside the Eastern African country for the Africa Cup of Nations  qualifiers during the draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) back in May in Cairo, Egypt.

The winner on aggregate of the two-legged fixture will advance to the final round of the qualifiers, with 11 teams bidding to earn a place to participate at the AWCON in Morocco in July 2022.

Stars head coach Charles Okere named a strong side with striker Neddy Okoth making the starting XI alongside Jentrix Shikangwa and skipper Mwanahalima Adam.

Neddy needed only 30 minutes to complete hat-trick in the first half before Shikangwa completed the first half demolition.

In the second half, Neddy bagged his fourth of the day with Shikangwa completing his brace. Mwanahalima Adams brace ensured Kenya had the full control over the tie with a 8-0 scoreline at the end.
