A good day for Joe Ben Nyokabi, a Kenyan TikToker who is behind the viral video of him mimicking Martha Karua as he finally gets to meet the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition, presidential running mate.

Nyokabi tickled Kenyans with the one-week-old video, which has so far garnered over 764,000 views on TikTok, in which he attempts to recreate some of Karua’s most popular campaign slogans.

“Harooo…Asimio…Raira ni msarendo,” Nyokabi repeats over and over in the clip, which has now also borne 70 other videos from different content creators recreating it.

e met Karua on Friday morning during a photo shoot session, as revealed by activist Boniface Mwangi – a strong supporter of the ‘iron lady’, as she is popularly known.

“As of this morning @NyokabiJoe didn’t have a job and had rent arrears. He says he did the harooo TikTok video hoping to get 10 views but to his surprise, it went viral. He didn’t get any pay but his friends thought he had “made it!” Today, his life changed thanks to @MarthaKarua,” wrote Mwangi on Twitter.

He further posted a video of the encounter between the two, in which they seemingly attempt to recreate the video, much to the amusement of those present in the room.
